A simple Filipino Siomai recipe. Very minimal ingredients with maximum flavor.

Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground pork
- 10-12 large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1 small carrot
- 3 stalks green onions
- 1 T cornstarch
- 2t oyster sauce
- 1t soy sauce
- 1t sesame oil
- 1t onion powder
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2t pepper
- Wonton wrappers
Dipping sauce:
- Calamansi or lemon
- Soy sauce
- Chili garlic oil
Directions:
- Chop or grate carrots. I used a mini food processor for this
- Chop green onion
- Chop the shrimp until you get a paste like consistency
- Combine all ingredients except wonton wrappers in a mixing bowl
- Fill each wonton wrapper with mixed filling. About a tablespoon. Seal wonton sides with water. Do not overfill wonton
- in a steamer. Steam siomai for 15 minutes
- Serve with dipping sauce
